Most homes end up with a lighting system, a shade system, and a speaker system that have never been introduced. Ours are commissioned together, so the house behaves like one thing rather than four.

Lighting
Light does most of the work in a room and gets the least attention. We design in layers — ambient, task, accent — on dimmable circuits that can be tuned by color temperature as well as brightness. Cool and bright through the working day, warm and low by evening, following the same curve daylight does.
Then it gets commissioned scene by scene, in the actual room, at the actual hour, with you standing in it. That last part is the difference between a lighting system and a lighting design.

Two
Shading
On this coast the sun is the loudest thing in the house. Motorized shades track it through the day — lowering ahead of the glare, holding the view, protecting the art and the floors and the upholstery from the fading nobody notices until it has happened.
Fabric is a design decision, not a hardware one. Sheers that soften light without closing the view, blackout for bedrooms and theaters, and a range of weaves and colors chosen alongside your designer rather than after them.

Audio
Architectural speakers disappear into ceilings and walls, so the room stays the room. Music follows you from the kitchen to the patio, at a level that suits the space and the hour, without anyone hunting for a remote.
Outdoor zones matter more here than most places. Sound that carries across a pool deck without carrying to the neighbors is a design problem, and it is solved during the layout rather than after.

Control
Underneath all of it sits one system, which is what allows a single word — evening, away, goodnight — to move shades, light and sound at once. Most days it acts on its own, on a schedule built around how you actually live in the house.
And when you do want to change something, there is a keypad on the wall. Elegant, labeled, and exactly where you would expect it. No phone required, no app to update, nothing to remember.
